I don't know why it's so hard to find blankets for children with binding on them. All kids love to brush soft satin up against their faces or hold it in their hands. My mom paid full price (with a heart attack) for the first one so my daughter could have a blanket with binding. She's had this one about 1 1/2 years and absolutely loves this. It's been through the wash so many times. Now she's gotten so attached I just ordered a second one so I can wash the first. This has held up incredibly well considering all the hugging, tugging, catching under stroller wheels it's gotten. All the trips it's been on, all the visits to the play houses, playgrounds, pools! There are no stitches or thread missing. The white part is a little less fluffy but to be totally less expected. I don't think that either of us can begrudge the price--I seriously doubt a set of sheets I bought for the same price would hold up as well with this much use!
