The award winning Transitional Swaddle Sack® is the solution that parents have been searching for, and it’s designed by a nurse! It features uniquely shaped 1/2 length arms up sleeves with fold over mitten cuffs that may be worn open or closed. With the mitten cuffs closed, the specially designed sleeves provide partial suppression of the Moro (startle) reflex, and the Transitional Swaddle Sack is an important safer sleep option for babies who can roll over because the sleeves allow enough mobility for baby to use their arms to push up and reposition their head if they roll over.

Our Transitional Swaddle Sack is deemed Hip Healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, because it allows room for baby's hips and knees to flex and move, while still offering support.

It's easy to use! Fold the mitten cuffs closed, unzip the sack and place baby onto the sack. First, place arms into sleeves, and next, place baby’s legs into sack and simply zip up. Baby's arms will be in a flexed position close to body. The closed cuffs also protect from facial scratches.

As baby grows and develops, you may choose to open a cuff, so baby may suck on fingers. Babies who can self- soothe are calmer and sleep better. Leave sleeve opening at wrist. If baby stretches and fully extends arm, the sleeve will be elbow length.

The sack’s ergonomic design features a snug midsection to provide snugness to reassure and comfort baby.

The Transitional Swaddle Sack features a 2-way/2 pull zipper, so diaper changes are easy. Just unzip from the foot to access the diaper.

The Transitional Swaddle Sack is designed to bridge the gap from classic snug swaddling to loose fitting sleeping sack.  When baby is ready to transition from a snug swaddle or can roll over, but doesn’t sleep well in a sleeveless sleep sack due to baby still has a strong Moro (startle) reflex, the Transitional Swaddle Sack is the perfect solution for a good night’s sleep and peace of mind.

Our Transitional Swaddle Sack is convertible and easy to use. It's great for babies who prefer to sleep with arms up and for babies who like to self-soothe on their fingers.

Layering for extra warmth:

A cotton bodysuit may be worn underneath as a light extra layer if needed for a bit more warmth.

A wearable blanket, such as our zzZipMe Sleeping Sack may be worn over top if more warmth is needed. Our zzZipMe Sacks are available in a range of TOGs for different levels of added warmth for different environmental temperatures.

Do not use thick, polyester fleece pajamas under the Transitional Swaddle Sack. Cotton is best next to baby’s skin and no added thickness should be used under the TSS.

I love how these are designed

A fraction of the price of the other brands, and lets my daughter find her thumb to self-soothe in the night.

Awesome Sleep Sack

Stays nice and snug to the torso and moves with him, so no worries about being tangled up while he sleeps. Super soft and great for summertime. Never hot or too cold.

Love this!!

An awesome solution for a baby that hates being swaddled. We used for many months and sized-up as he grew. You cannot beat the price.

Great Swaddle Sack!

Switched to this after using the Swaddle Up because my daughter was showing signs of attempting to roll over. She won't take a pacifier either so she needs her hands to calm herself down. Can't believe this saved our sleep so inexpensively. Save yourself $ and Z's and just buy it already!

Baby getting too big to swaddle?

Absolute game changer. My son managed to escape his swaddle and would bat at his face while he slept. This keeps his hands covered and makes it so he can't self-disturb. We didn't use it for long, but for what we got out of it, every penny was worth.
